I think by now you've known that I'm a big music lover. It regularly irked me that why do Stackers don't post or show as much interest as they do on ~Stacker_sports! Considering Music is as popular as Sports are, it should definitely be getting that much engagement.
I think there's a lot of different elements.
Trying to stay on at the top of the home page on SN when sorting by Hot is hard. But also me being in the UK means I am only available to post and interact at certain points in the day. If the post goes out too early, it gets buried quickly and then there's minimal engagement. But if I do it to late, I can't respond to people and engage with them due to time differences. So it's a fine balance. But I'm pretty happy with the community we've built who just turn up every day and go looking for the post to be able to share something different and interesting to listen to. I think if we could keep it in the top of "hot" we'd be laughing.

I'm running +5:30 ahead of you and it's really hard for me to compete with USA guys when the engagement on SN is on its peak. It's already 2:30 AM here and I'm fighting it out, still alive.

Yes, it used to be a case with me as well in my early days on SN. It's still early. I've not completed half a year here.
TBH, I've never felt it after I was able to bring some Indian friends on SN. I think some of them always zap whatever I post. And, my posts remain in hot.
