Twitter / X is not going to attract as many new users as it can.
  1. When it looks like the person or company you were curious about do not tweet anymore you are not going to create an account and follow them. The platform is losing out on new users every day because of this.

  1. The character limit is too generous (Most people will make too long tweets, its going to increase noise and lower signal and ultimately the network effect and value of the platform)
  2. X is too generic of a name and changing the name again any time soon will also be bad.
  3. For now the platform has users because if its history and network effect but ultimately users will move elsewhere
