That's a question I come back to a lot. I'll be honest it isn't always the best answer.
Sometimes it's because I just want a better life for my family, and this seems like the best option. I don't have enough to get into real estate seriously. My job pays for the basics but nothing fancy for my wife, two sons, and myself.
Other times I'm in it because I see people 1000x times my intelligence developing tools I genuinely believe in. Something as simple as the sMiles app has become a daily check in to ensure I get my daily sats for steps. Such a simple thing that ensures I keep my streak of 10,000 steps going.
At times I'm in it because a large portion of my net worth is in BTC, and what other options do I have?
Sometimes number go up is why I'm here.
The point of this is that it's okay that your reason for being here changes as long as you are here. If you've made it this far, thank you for reading and have a great rest of your week you are amazing!
Why are you here?
I believe that many of the worlds worst problems today are caused by fiat money. Bitcoin is simply the logical solution

I’m into bitcoin for two main reasons:
Public key encryption is freaking cool on its own. Using it as a way to create a trust-less currency is mind blowing and exciting.
The implications of immutable information used as currency is also mind blowing and exciting. It’s almost certainly the first objectively finite store of value. So the value of everything else has to reset itself to that in the end. That’s super fascinating, and I love exploring all of the impacts that will have on the world. I don’t even think all of the impacts will be good. Some will be bad. But it’s fascinating to learn about.
The fact that this is likely the best investment we’ll see in a lifetime is honestly secondary to me. That’s exciting, too, for sure. But not as exciting as the first truly immutable store of value. That’s gonna be way bigger than the money people make for getting in early.

Sovereignty. I can't control the reckless spending of governments, but Bitcoin allows me to protect some of the fruits of my labor from being stolen by devaluation.
It seems that decentralization is the best shot at protecting from the increasing infringment of privacy that the digital age has spawned. I'm grateful there are talented people much smarter than me that are building solutions to these problems.
