Right, I can understand that. But it would have been nice if it wasnt a huge political platform. By people who dont even understand the ecosystem.
People talking about bitcoin a lot will happen prior to people talking about it accurately, especially if it becomes highly political.

Yes, l realize this is part of it being adopted fully into society. Just not sure Trump or Harris are the people we want for that.
reply
They definitely aren't, but we were never going to get to choose.
reply
We wont get to choose. Im also worried what will happen if they adopt bitcoin, then make a huge mining facility trying to get the 51%. That would really rip some seams.
reply
From what I understand, a 51% attack actually requires far more than 51%, because of the probabilities involved.
I suppose it's possible they would pursue that, but I don't think it's likely.
reply
Its highly unlikely, but I dont rule it out. Especially once they get in their mind that they could control the whole blockchain by doing that.
reply
Wouldn't people just stop using it, though? It seems like a very crude and expensive attack on bitcoin savings. Considering that many mainstream investors hold Bitcoin now, I'm not sure why they'd want to do this.
reply
If they can get a 51% attack, they could potentially increase the amount of bitcoin. IF bitcoin gets as big as everyone thinks, wont that be worth it?
