A warm night, clear skies... high on LSD (for the first time in my life) in a beautiful cabin in rural Australia, listening to Pink Floyd (cliché, I know, I was laughing to myself at how cliché it was as it was happening, but it really was just the perfect fit for the moment), gazing at the stars, realizing that there comes a point in each and every one of our lives where we have to make a choice whether we want to become a "part of the vastness" or a "part of the nothingness" and making the choice that I most definitely want to become a father as we are the creators, and having children is the most creative and important thing one can do as a human being.
A very surreal experience that, strangely enough, was also one of the realest experiences I've ever had.
I'm not a father yet but that night changed me in a profound sense and I'm working hard every day to become the best man I can be for my future wife and the best dad I can be for my future children.
I also wrote something down that night. I think of it as a poem in and of itself so I guess the "poetic" aspect of the moment should be double or triple checked:
"The vastness
And the nothingness
The difference between them
Is the human experience"

I have had a few of my own Pink Floyd moments in various states of consciousness over the years. Probably my most poetic, if you can call it that, was discovering the "Wish You Were Here" album when it first came out during a high school winter break week. No substances involved, but my mind went ok laces it hadn't been before.

When I am high on acid, I usually experience moments where reality feels more real. I think it's because my senses filter less / take more in. Maybe that's similar to what you experienced?

Yeah I do think being able to let go of what you think is real is a big part of the mechanics of psychedelics and what enables us to experience reality in another, perhaps a somewhat deeper manner

Idk about MOST poetic moment, but I was on a hike recently, passed by some older men, and we struck up a conversation. I mentioned how there are times where I have to force myself to stare at my feet so I’m not looking at the ledge or how far away I am from the peak.
Dude just looked at me, with sort of a “duh” look on his face, and said “that’s all of us. That’s why God gave us feet!”
I’ve thought about that most days since.

Poetic similar to "this moment is straight out of a movie" but not just that. It’s actually a good question: what is a poetic moment? I think what one says in a moment makes it poetic.

Sometimes the fear of feeling like that does arise. but I got rid of that feeling by diverting my attention. and I won't do it again. maybe everyone is different.

Been there to that sunken place not many have...so when I work and focus I'm all in fuck it damned if I do damned if I don't rather live with the know that the what if...end of the day I feel this makes and gives me an edge as a dangerous man ...where others have something to lose...idk rambling
