I find your takes on this situation kind of strange to be honest. I've spent quite a bit of time in BD and Dhaka and have lots of friends and contacts there who, to a person, have been very happy with the recent developments, esp. the selection of Yunus as interim leader. This includes people who were Hasina supporters in the past.
I just find it strange how big the delta is between what you have been posting about and what my friends in Bangladesh have expressed.
I don't have strong opinions on this myself, but was happy when I saw the news about Yunus because I know how widely respected he is there.
Because more than 90% Bangladesh population is Muslims, may be you only get views from them. Have you had conversation with any Hindus living in there?
We don't know how Younus will fare as leader yet. Yes most Muslims are happy to have ehim as leader because he is an anti-democrat and pro-communist.
