A very good farewell to him!
reply
Yeah! That was cool. It was like bossing the goal post for one lat time!
reply
Congrats! It has been a thrilling match!

Thanks! The best moment of the match was back to back saves from our seasoned goalkeeper Shreejesh.
reply
Congrats. Sorry to hear about your wrestler not making weight.
reply
Thanks! It's a controversy there. What do they expect from a wrestler? It was only 100 grams more. Do they really want a wrestler to play back to back 3 bouts without getting proper nourishment. I think that the weight should only be measured once. It's a crap rule.

What happened between 1980 and 2020?
reply
One big reason can be attributed to India winning Cricket World Cup against all odds in 1983. Cricket became more and more popular and sidelined all other sports. The second was not enough facilities to shape up players to play on the turf we use these days in Hockey. Politics also played a huge role in undermining other sports than Cricket. While Cricket has always been free from political interference largely, other sports still have to rely on government for infrastructure and funding.
