Bitcoin exposes the lies we are all taught about the current system. I think that is one reason many smart people can't really debate it. They have benefited from the system and bitcoin is contrary to that system. Its success exposes the system for what it is.

When I started to understand that bitcoin was literally Austrian economic principles put into code with a game theory incentive structure that was when I was truly orange pilled. Had I understood economics when I first learned about bitcoin in 2008 I would be very wealthy.

I didn't get economics at the time. The tech always impressed me from the start. The economics of bitcoin are contrary to the mainstream financial world. Its a big blocker for these types of people. I never believed in mainstream economics. When I discovered Mises and Rothbard it was like discovering a new world.
