I am not against moving Aiyuk, but I was hoping he would just play out this year, they would franchise tag him and move him in the offseason. I guess that's still possible if he can't work out a deal with the Browns or Patriots but seems likely he will get moved to one or the other. If he goes to the Patriots the draft capital is likely better and if he goes to the Browns they likely get Amari Cooper plus picks.
Super Bowl or bust. I hope it's Cooper.

And they couldn’t hit a 3 to save their lives. SGA was great as usual. Hopefully Edey develops into a good player because they were undersized in the paint the whole tournament.

Cooper should be a good fit. He's a great route runner and probably still has good speed. Expect some frustrating drops, though.
I'm glad this will put an end to the Aiyuk for Davante rumors.

He had a pro bowl season last year so he must have something left. I don't think he is as good as Aiyuk but the 49ers are deep at receiver. They just need a number one threat, not a true number one.
Aiyuk was amazing but 49ers have so many weapons that he got the ball a lot less than a typical number 1. He did struggle a bit when Deebo was out and defenses zeroed in on him, so that might be why the 49ers didn't want to pay him like an elite receiver.
Kendrick Bourne would likely come back to the 49ers if Aiyuk went to the Pats. He is serviceable but definitely a step down from Aiyuk and Cooper. I don't think the young guys the 49ers drafted are ready yet. They have both been plagued by hamstring injuries at camp. I am sure we will see some of them this season but they will not be the Aiyuk replacement. 49ers will get someone back in a trade to fill that spot.

I almost put down a preseason bet on the 49ers, but I don't have much left at Nitrobetting. I was mostly just looking at the heavy underdogs, because I don't know why anyone would be a heavy preseason favorite.
