Something that has been somehow overlooked by most listeners to this episode is that ProtonWallet had planned from the beginning to release with samouraiwallet Whirlpool tightly integrated and already built the integration, and only scrapped it after the indictment.
The fact that an aggressive anti-privacy and anti-crypto campaign by the current administration and DoJ stripped 100 million users of their access to privacy on Bitcoin is wild, and cannot be understated.
What do you think, should Proton Wallet have still launched as they did without privacy tooling, or put it on hold until they could build some new privacy functionality?
