It honestly feels insane to me that they would do this before integrating a Lightning paywall.
Instead of scanning a QR code and quickly buying an article, users will have to go through some weird token staking mechanics that meaningfully worsen the user experience.

It virtually guarantees that I'll never read or pay for any of their paywalled content. It just seems like a huge hassle. I can't believe they thought this was a good idea.
