The ( modern ) Olympics Game is a distraction, it is the same as the shows that the empires or kings used to put on to entertain the masses.
I really don't get what's in it for the participants either, frame or money? The training may even be inhuman, and you train all your life for the game / a show for others, but then there are many careers like this...I have a cousin who was selected and trained for the Olympics when he was really young, then he trained for so many years and ended up wasting his youth... it's a winner-take-all game and nothing left for the others; Maybe even as a way to create more money with all these expenses and power exercising among nations...
ofc maybe I'm wrong.
Totally agree with this one!

Bread and circuses 🍞 🎪 since ancient times the same thing applies, perhaps when I was younger I enjoyed these events, world cups, olympics etc. but today, I know that it is all a big setup to keep people asleep and distracted from the real things that we should pay attention to. and today I even think that it is wrong to look at them, since that is building indirectly. it is just my opinion! it is not an absolute truth! I try not to be part of it, and that others maintain the model of the system.

Paris olympics in just one image. You do not need to see anything else.
