Honestly its pretty much what I expected. The fact that this is the front running candidate says more about the state of the US than it does about him or the bitcoin community.

Very true. It just reinforces for me that we are on our own. It's nuts to think these clowns are going to help. That being said, even by his standards, wasn't he particularly cringe today?

Not really. Maybe I don't pay enough attention. He's always cringe to me. But, he's funnier than most of these clowns.
I cringe at ANY politician. My wife can't watch a speech with me. Any time these guys act like I need them... I want to turn my back.
