I understand there is a market and demand/offer etc.. but this is mostly about what do you consider a fair price to pay for a transaction to be forwarded by lightning nodes. I personnally feel 1/1000 (0.1%) is my upper limit but had many transactions that fail or get 0.2 or 0.4% if I don't place any condition. In my country there is a shitty tax for transactions and it's 0.4% which is plain thievery. I think all lightning wallets for phones should have a max fee feature.
1 and 100 69.2%
100 and 1000 (0.01-0.1%)23.1%
higher than 1000 7.7%

Just like with on-chain fees. If the fee is too high, I'll try the transaction later, or from a different wallet / different channel. If the transaction is time-sensitive, I'm willing to pay most any fee. With LN, I'm very infrequently been surprised to the upside on fees. But I too would like to have a configurable default upper limit (in terms of sats per million) so that I'm not finding out after the fact that my transaction cost way more than I was thinking it would be.
I do like how withdrawal on SN permits me to set the max withdrawal (in absolute terms / sats).

But that do not apply to any BTC tx. Is only for your local currency. BTC can't be taxed, in any form or shape.

Tax? And how do they know that you have made a transaction? If the wallet does not has KYC

Not clear from my text, it's a tax on bank transactions (I still make more of those than BTC)
