From the Bitcoin perspective a few problems with Monero are:
-No fixed supply
-Opaque supply
-No fixed blocksize
-ASIC resistance
From the Monero perspective these same things are:
+Future mining security
+Privacy, fungibility, and targeted mining censorship resistance
+Low transaction fees, more throughput
+Decentralized, accessible, and discrete mining
