Germany's recession is evident despite public denial. The private sector's woes, highlighted by industrial struggles, stem from outdated policies and lost economic pillars. Once reliant on affordable Russian energy, low-cost subcontractors from Eastern Europe, and growing exports to China, Germany now faces an economic landscape where these supports no longer exist. Yet, politicians and unions remain stuck in a bygone era, unable to adapt to the new reality.
The green-socialist apocalypticism of German politics could be dismissed as a curiosity of modernity if it were not embedded in a supranational project such as the European Union or the eurozone. Due to the relative gravity of the German economy, those 'partner states' that want to escape the downward maelstrom of German folly are now being dragged into the economic crash.
Germany entered recession in 2020.

we must always subtract from these figures the government demand artificially generated by debt programd, as it is not part of the productive economy. then the picture looks even worse
reply
Ohh! Okay. Definitely the salaries of politicians should also b deducted.

There was some noise last year that Germany wanted to cut away from Ukraine war. Was that true and was it because Germany faced major energy crisis in winter?
reply
Within the population I would guess 30% do not support the engagement. But the gov coalition and the CDU back this by 100%
reply
I feel bad for German people. This 70% number is astonishing. Much because it says that Germans are not peace lovers.
reply
IMO it means they are intellectually lazy victims of propaganda by the warmongers
reply
Very true but sad!

I was in Germany recently.
I was shocked at the type of people who seemed to be pro war with Ukraine. Even the hippie/peacenik types were not pro-peace, and seemed to be just as susceptible to pro-war propaganda.
For instance - those who, back when you had to serve in the military or do civil service volunteering, many people did the civil service work, even though it took longer to get through. Even THESE people, seem sometimes to be pro-war nowadays. Or at least, to not be skeptical of pro-war arguments.

Germany's economy can have some benefits from war, e.g. Rheinmetall (they would like to do more, but politicians are blocking it).
reply
Since when does an economy, a society, profit from war games in the long term?
reply
Never
Military industrial complex benefits from money laundering

When war is not happening on your soil and especially when your boys aren't dying. USA overcome Great Depression that way, with WWII, and become dominant superpower of the World.

Stop the Wodka in the morning!

What we ordered was delivered. Socialist corrupt government.
reply
Yep. And it's really one party, divided into parts to simulate competition and democracy

And the most regrettable thing is that the great Bavarian locomotive stopped thanks to following the US's instructions. They have no way to replace the cheap energy they bought from the Russians, and on the other hand, losing trade with China is another shot in the foot.
reply
I've listened many reports about Germany's latest recession and deep economic trouble. If anything that's making them pay for is their bad blood with Putin. They just need to be at peace with Russia and their economy will grow.
reply
And they need to leave the green socislist path urgently

What do you think about the influence on Britain which although close to the EU is no longer a member and has its own currency?

the important capital continues to be managed via the City of London. London, and this also applies to the capitals of the eurozone, is clearly following the WEF's program.

Agreed. 👍

Overlay this chart with sugar consumption
Caus sugar is a drug and it clogs your brain with insulin
My point is that the lack of awareness of how sugar impacts your ability to concentrate (There is added sugar to almost everything in the grocery store and because of this we consume a lot of sugar and our mental capacities are shrinking collectively so that could be the root cause of economic decline.. Something as simple as too much sugar)
reply
yes, the fatty degeneration of society and brains is more than just real. you're absolutely right. I had recently seen the statistics on how life expectancy is imploding in the United States. Horrible

Time to get new politicians. Who will move with the times.

This would be nice. Or: building strong families and communities to defend ourselves against political overreach
reply
That sounds weaker than replacing the old politicians. Politicians have a large overreach. They have the government behind them, they can make demands.

Germany is feeling the heat of their own fire! If this goes on Germany would soon be behind India.
India is the fifth largest economy by GDP. We are now knocking at Germany for the fourth position. Before the pandemic, India was the fastest-growing large economy. After the pandemic, India is the fastest-growing large economy.

It's incredible what's happening in europe, collective cultural and economical suicide.
