GDP Growth Surges in Q2
The U.S. economy posted a remarkable 2.8% growth in Q2, surpassing the 2.0% forecast and significantly improving from the previous quarter's 1.4%.
Inflation Measures Show Mixed Signals
PCE Prices rose by 2.6%, below the estimated 3.0% and down from 3.4% last quarter. Core PCE, however, increased by 2.9%, exceeding the 2.7% forecast but lower than the prior 3.7%.
Job Market Remains Steady
Jobless claims totaled 235,000, slightly under the predicted 237,000 and a drop from the previous week's 243,000.
