You can watch it for free starting today. I am watching it now. So far it's pretty good. I'm not sure about the title, though. This is supposed to be an outreach vehicle. I'm afraid that sticking God and religion in the title might be off-putting to a lot of people. Morality is an important theme here, but it did not need to be connected to religion.
Thanks for sharing! Bookmarked it to watch later.

Thanks! Just watched it for 2 minutes and it seems quite interesting. Gonna watch it at bedtime today.

It's well done. Maybe I was premature in criticizing the title. Towards the end bitcoin is looked at in terms of most major religions.
reply
Yes! For me Bitcoin is becoming like a faith that can never be broken!
reply
Yes, they talk about that too. How bitcoin is often seen as a religion. Keep in mind that it is meant to introduce newbies to bitcoin. It is basic.

We don't need to go far. Look at you and I, don't we believe in Bitcoin much in the same way as people did when Jesus was born! A handful of people believed in the 'son of God' but eventually all believed in him and believed in the name of God too.
We believe thatGod sends one of his servants to save us from the evil, this time God has sent Bitcoin to correct the ways of humanity.

I don't know if you're familiar with Nic Carter and his criticism of bitcoin maxis? He attacked what was perceived as religious worship. I made a post a while ago about it: #191801

You know my country has adopted so many religions over the course of history. One of them is Cricket as well. We play cricket but we also worship it. In the same way if I trust in Bitcoin, I can only trust in it. I don't know about Nic Carter (I'm gonna know it now) but I can just assure you by saying this 'This is such a world where you can even find people who may fiercely criticize the reign of GOD. They will call him fake, unreal and imaginary! So, I don't care such Nic or pic.

@siggy47 this seems to be targeted at Christians IMO. I have zero problem with that. There is massive alignment between Christianity and bitcoin.
I am not very familiar with Islam but I've heard from some Muslims that bitcoin aligns with their religion and values as well.
On another note, love that the guy that wrote "Thou Shalt Prosper" is in this. Read his book many years ago.
Edit:
There is room for many films like this targeted at different demographics. I welcome it all. Bring everyone into the bitcoin tent until it isn't even a tent. Its just like air. One day there will be no bitcoin community. It will just be money. And fiat will not exist.

Thanks for posting this. I wonder if it is connected with the TGFB conference (Thank God for Bitcoin) and the book by the same name.
I'm not sure I agree with you @siggy47. Jesus spoke about money a whole lot. Money isn't religious but it sure is relevant to our lives and IMO is a great magnifying glass on our true character, desires, and priorities. Money is an amplifier. Give money to a moral person that is doing good work in the world and they can do more. Give it to an immoral or self-centered person and they can do great damage to themselves and others.
I found the TGFB book thought provoking at the time I read it. Not only has fiat distorted the secular world, it has distorted the religious world. Bitcoin really aligns with the things the Bible says about money and the management of wealth. I started seeing the problems with fiat before I found bitcoin which I know is not the average person's bitcoin journey. I read some libertarian thinkers that really opened my eyes to it.
Most Christians, specifically clergy do not understand economics in my experience. If this movie is a good tool for explaining bitcoin to them, then I'm all for it. If it is a grift or trying to make bitcoin out to be some Christian tech then no thanks.
Not sure we disagree, I don't think money is religious. No more religious than water. But like water it can bring life, or death. It is either good or bad. Fiat is bad money. Bitcoin like gold is good money. But its better than gold. Much better.

As I said in another reply, I hadn't completely finished watching when I wrote my criticism of the title. I'm still not sure if it's an effective title, but I really liked the end of the film where bitcoin is placed in context of every major religion. It was informative and inclusive. I initially and incorrectly saw the term "God Bless Bitcoin" as strictly Christian, which is certainly not the case. It is really focusing on ethics and morality. There's nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, that makes sense.
