I keep thinking, already for a long time, that gold is not as scarse as most reports says. The oceans are barely explored and even the vast majority of the surface of earth is unexplored for minerals.
Our technology is far away from being able to find new gold mines easily and our tech basically is inefficient to explore inner earth or the oceans...but let's go chasing asteriods for we can see the gold... LOL

I added that to the title because my theory is that NASA is using that as a excuse to stay relevant, money talks and an asteroid with a previous mineral in abundance for sure bring to the financing table lots of fat pockets looking to profit further from it, thus, a win win, funding for new rockets and tech in exchange for mining asteroids, this shall be fun to watch...
Meanwhile Bitcoin is the real gold, those fat pockets should realize that and stack sats instead of wasting fiat in fool errands. And if they are itching so much to waste money, invest in building more and better infrastructure, health research, transportation improvements on earth, new forms of energy, the list goes on...
