i came across an article in a site called neverwas mag - i'm not a regular reader of it, i just came across it whilst drifting distractedly through the internet and bookmarked the particular post - it's about the use of octopus imagery in political cartoons -

You may be right about the London aspect, but it makes me think of the Rothschild  'I care not who sits on the throne of England' quote.
