I meant as a new feature. 
It'd be a nice feature to have, I would use it for sure. It could have:

- hide/show all comments
- hide/show all parent comments
- hide/show all subcomments

Nothing happens except collapsing that comment (and it's subcomments). I want to collapse all the high level comments and their sub comments at the same time.

Is there a way to collapse all the comments on a post? 

I do this manually after I read the whole post. I want to be able to efficiently read new comments when I see the blue rectangle on the post.
