I have never used Twitter, I know many people do but I don't have one, the current applications are no longer as popular and that has a lot of influence.
Sadly Twitter is declining slowly. Turnaround if they make it compatible with the rest of the microblogging plattforms or gamble on a search-engine or reddit-esque features. But I wouldn't bet on it. The ship is sinking very slowly
