Even though the opening ceremony will be held on Friday 26th, some sports will start competing two days earlier.
Football (soccer for some of you) and rugby will start the road for the medals on Wednesday.
I really enjoy the events where team spirit is involved such as football , basketball, handball or waterpolo. Then , some individual sports such as athletics also grab my attention.

How do you think India will do?
Not as good as a country with the highest number of people should do! I think 1-3 Golds are all India would be winning!
This is all due the lack of proper infrastructure for other sports than Cricket here.

Shooting, Javelin Throw, Badminton, hockey, Boxing, weightlifting and boxing are where Indian contingent excels!
The best chances are in Javelin, boxing and shooting.

I will probably watch a bit of everything but looking forward to track and field and basketball the most.
Basketball is a must. There are chances for Spain to advance to latest stages though I think the gold is going for the USA.
USA will not win gold medal.

Definitely, you are strong in field hockey. Spanish women clinched a gold medal over 30 years ago. Both teams are participating this time, though I do not think we will advance much.
