It just keeps getting worse.

The gunman used a drone and the government didn't. We are not sending our best. That much is clear.

You said on day one or two you were shocked by the absence of aerial surveillance including drones

I've been wondering where this photo came from.....it can be hard to see in the pic but he is balancing on a small 'retaining wall' that is 3-4ft high. Point being, the perspective appears to be zoomed in from a much higher spot.
reply
IIRC it came from a CS member from a second story window in the building they were stationed in in the bottle factory.

So Gateway pundit has posted a photo showing where the photo of him on wall was taken. Confirming what you posted.
Shockingly, it was from the 2nd story sniper team! They were 40ft from him. Clearly they watched the entire episode unfold from seeing him with range finder, to climbing wall, to climbing roof....how did they not issue a "code red" to prevent Trump from taking stage or get him off stage ASAP?
reply
Who were the snipers. Local or SS?
reply
local
reply
To make matters worse, it seems like the majority of federal agents that day were not SS, they were Homeland Security....wtf?
"Whistleblower allegations suggest the majority of DHS officials were not in fact USSS agents but instead drawn from the department's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)," Hawley wrote. "This is especially concerning given that HSI agents were unfamiliar with standard protocols typically used at these types of events, according to the allegations."
Interesting. If they had a drone, how did they miss him and why haven't we heard about a drone.
reply
Well they didn't miss him. He was spotted with the range finder and climbing on roof before Trump took the stage. The question is why would allow the president to take the stage given an active threat.
From Brave AI on timeline:
17:11 local time: Pennsylvania State Police officers spot the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, and notify other law enforcement agencies. 17:45 local time: A counter-sniper officer calls in with a report and a photo of Crooks acting suspiciously around a building near the rally. 17:52 local time: The US Secret Service becomes aware of a suspicious person with a rangefinder on the ground. 6:02 p.m. ET: Former President Donald Trump takes the stage at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. 18:09 local time: Rallygoers spot Crooks on the roof and attempt to tell law enforcement. 18:11 local time: Crooks opens fire. He is fatally shot by Secret Service counter-snipers 26 seconds later.
Notably, the Secret Service spotted Crooks on the roof 20 minutes before gunfire erupted, at around 17:51 local time. This was 20 minutes after the initial notification from Pennsylvania State Police officers and 10 minutes before former President Donald Trump took the stage.
reply
Yeah, I know that. Was referring to missing on the roof. But that indeed is the question. Why would they allow Trump to take the stage.
reply
Yeah, I did. And I am far from even knowledgeable about this stuff. Our police here use drones at public gatherings. It's obvious. That's why I wondered about it. I mean they should be doing far more.
