This is cool. Is it the first of its kind, local dev bitcoin tool or is there any other local alternative?
Also runs on Docker, has a GUI, deploy regtest BTC and LN nodes.

Yep, polar is definitely something people can use if it satisfies their needs. The problem is that it is gui only so can't run it on VPSs and difficult to scale as well. The goal for BitBrew is to allow running scalable private networks with automated random network activity. Polar has a great gui though.
