No, just expired few years ago, didn't need it yet.
Also, my driving license expired few years ago, still driving :) they stopped me a few times, cops didn't say anything about expired license, go figure
What about ID? or are you using the expired license?
they asked for license, i gave them their license :)

it's not mine, i didn't make it, i'm not the owner, they made me the user/beneficiary of it.
if you do the passport it makes it official - to be a national and you get free reign mostly.
and can use it as id and driving license
