My PhD acknowledgments were the result of a lost bet with my colleagues. If I lost, they were allowed to write a few paragraphs in my stead without me having the right to veto it. It led to some nerdy humor, a little bit of shameful inuendos, and a good memory of the time I had in that lab. If I ever get academically famous (highly unlikely), I hope this part of the thesis does not get the attention it doesn't deserve~~
