I'm already crucified with christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20
PRAYER OF THE DAY - Galatians 2:20
Dear God, Source of all wisdom and love, we turn to You on this new day with humility and gratitude. We recognize that, as the apostle Paul said in Galatians 2:20, our lives are lived in fellowship with you. May we give ourselves completely to You, allowing Your light to shine through us.
Just as Christ lived in us, let us also live in Christ. Help us to renounce selfishness and worldly desires so that we can truly live according to Your will. Enable us to follow Jesus' example, loving unconditionally and serving others joyfully.
May our actions and words reflect Your presence in our lives, bringing light and hope to everyone around us. Give us the strength to face the challenges of the day with unwavering faith, knowing that you are our constant companion in all circumstances.
Lord, may every breath we take be an expression of gratitude for Your abundant grace and unconditional love. Guide us along the path of truth and justice, and may we be instruments of peace and reconciliation in this needy world.
Grant us the discernment to recognize opportunities to do good and the courage to act according to Your will, even when it is difficult. May our lives be a living testimony of Your transforming love.
In the name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns forever, we pray.
Amen.
Galatians 2:20 is a key passage in the New Testament that expresses the essence of the Christian life. In it, the apostle Paul declares his identification with Christ: "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, the who loved me, and gave himself for me." Paul describes a death to his selfish self and a resurrection to a new life in fellowship with Christ. This passage emphasizes the importance of total surrender to God and alignment with the divine will, allowing the life of Christ to manifest itself in our lives.
