And even as snipers on the roof near Trump saw a gunman on the other roof, Biden’s security regime refused to have agents immediately surround Trump or remove him from the stage to protect him from being shot.
I don't think this has been corroborated. There are videos of a CS looking out to that side (which they were doing the whole time), but after shots are fired he repositions as if he wasn't looking at/couldn't see the target beforehand. The explanation I've heard for this is that USSS CSs are tasked with 3rd tier threats >300 yards away.
Also quoting their own article for the “source familiar with Trump’s security detail” isn't very compelling. The DISGRACED act is evidence of intent though so if they had better evidence of support denials it'd be pretty damning even to a moderate. Watching RFK Jr. get denied USSS detail for nearly year, after numerous real threats and his obvious familial history, is enough evidence for me that the administration is willing to politically assign protection though. That on top of all the primary rigging and age gaslighting gives a reasonably clear sketch of the administration's character imo which is consistent with this article's claim.
this territory is moderated
I take no joy or excitement in thinking maybe this was intentional incompetence or intentional. I don't want that to be true but it could be true. But I'm not the average person. My guess is that most Trump supporters are either thinking it was intentional or considering that as likely.
Its not good at all.

Most of what I see on twitter from the new right implies if not hypothesizes intent. Most of what I see from the new left are attempts to excommunicate the shooter from the party (as if that matters), avoid party blame, and at best bite their tongue through Trump's status come up. Most of what I see from moderates is disgust at the incompetence.
All things considered, it feels like intentional incompetence to me but hopefully we eventually get evidence to suggest otherwise.

That's pretty much what I see as well.

I'm afraid for what happens regardless. While this isn't reported as related, blocks from the RNC a homeless man was shot and killed by police crossing the street. Emotions are heightened and they tend to be very leaky.

Anyone in law enforcement is gonna be on edge now. Even far away from these politicians.

Its a mess.

RFK finally received Secret Service protection yesterday.
They must think we are blind and dumb. Or they don’t care. I would probably vote for brazen, a prominent trait for the Biden Administration

If you were RFK would you want SS protection at this point?

Good point
