I think it is VERY hard to make a case that this war is anything more than a proxy war between Russia and the US primarily at this point. If the US wasn't pushing for the war to continue at the cost of Ukrainian lives, I suspect it would ended in a few months. For the sake of the plebs on both sides I hope a peace agreement can be reached. And I hope that these evil men will stop using the people of Ukraine as a tool to build their wealth.
I'm not saying that Putin is trust worthy. But also you have to be blind or just ignorant to not understand why Russians would not trust the US government. Many of our people don't trust it. The US government's promises always have an expiration date. I don't believe either side want to start WW3 so this thing really is a disgusting waste of human life.
You may say, this is none of your business. You would be right. It isn't. But that doesn't concern the US gov. They whip people into a frenzy for "just" wars to move forward their own ends. To make money. To steal resources. The progressive left should be ashamed of the governments they have supported. Remember when they were anti-war? You know how they talk about corporate greed? Yeah, you see it on display in the MIC in all of these conflicts. Yet, they are silent. Their guy is in power.

Both parties had already reached a peace agreement a few weeks after the beginning of the war. NATO, with the help of then UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, sabotaged it, convincing Ukraine to continue fighting...
