Do you guys think there was a conspiracy? Did law enforcement stand down to allow shooter a chance to get off a number of shots?

I don’t know but the sheer levels of incompetence on display seems unlikely….surely we should be asking if there was an operation to kill Trump?

I don't have a theory on it. However the totality of events doesn't make much sense....

Trump supporter? Or at least registered republican.
No social media history
No history of strong polarized political beliefs
No documented mental health issues or reports from family
Buys ladder that day and carries ladder + rifle from his car and climbs on top building -- in full view of everyone
Chose same building that also contained sniper admin agents
Reported to police by multiple individuals along with accompanying video of him on roof
Reports that Secret Service was aware and took photo of him climbing roof
Police climbed ladder after him and saw him with rifle then retreated
Reports that sniper team was told to "stand down" and do not take shot until he shot first
Secret service announces that they "probably will never be able to unlock his phone", then seems to reverse that announcement after public backlash

Again I don't have a theory on this. Is it possible its just a series of random events + complete incompetence? Sure...however something about the total lack of coherence seems off....

Some of the events are definitely not random

Very skeptical he has no social media footprint

He made a donation to a left wing organization in 2021 for 15 bucks. He was 17 and made a donation on act blue website. He made a donation before he could vote. I wonder if his mom asked him to donate o her behalf?

Very true. At the same time several pictures of him show him wearing vaguely "conservative-style" t-shirts....things with USA flags, etc. At shooting he was wearing Demolition Ranch t-shirt (popular youtube channel that while not political is certainly strong 2A supporter).

I have no idea what any of that means....being non-conspiratorial he appears to be like any other non-ideological young male. Vaguely pro-america with middle-of-road political beliefs that also supports some ACTBlue talking points.

Just doesn't seem like that would be a "highly motivated assassin".

Like you, the lack of any known social media is puzzling....I just don't think an average young person gets that extremely politicized without arguing about politics all day on internet.

It is either dramatic failure or at the least intentional failure. There is a lot of suspicious stuff. With things like this I tend to go back to this thought process.

I know the state is evil from what they do in the open and what has been exposed
I know there are people with billions of dollars to make or lose depending on who controls the government
I know that even if these conspiracy theories are all false, most people do not even know of all the things the government has admitted to doing over the years
Even if true is the public going to accept it as true? After all they have already seen?
I know that throughout history we have seen people stop at no ends to gain power
Evil people are drawn to powerful positions and can be ruthless.

I usually end up with one question.

If this theory is true does it change any of the ways I think about politics or state power?

The answer for me is no. If true, it doesn't change the way I think about the US government, or the state as an evil force in this world. It doesn't change the solutions either.

It can be interesting to think about these topics but it also can be a waste of time and energy better spent elsewhere. That's a personal judgement call.

Have you seen "JFK: The Smoking Gun"? Of all the documentaries on the multitude of theories about the assassination this one makes the most sense to me.

The TLDR is that the USSS agents went out partying the night before(this was excused because they had been working very long hours) which seems to be undisputed. One of the riflemen was so hung over he wasn't able to fulfill is duties and a inexperienced agent was swapped in. When the first shot rang out he accidentally fired his rifle from behind and hit JFK in the head.

Everything that followed was a coverup of this massive failure. If it were true it would explain a lot and we know that these agencies first and foremost goal is self preservation.

I'm not convinced but it seems very plausible as a theory of the events.

Incidentally if one disconnects from the two party system in the US and just observes you see over time that both sides push conspiracy theories and seem to lose all their logic when it suits their goals.

The democrats mock Alex Jones but peddle their own nonsense like the Russian nonsense with Trump.

For anyone interested in conspiracy theory kinds of things that are corroborated by people on the record check out "Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA".

After reading that book I remember thinking that the government was beyond saving. This was back when I was a voter. There are no conspiracy theories in this book but many of the things documented sound like it and were theories before they were documented by the actors in the stories.

The actions of the CIA often against orders from the Presidents are very interesting for anyone that denies the deep state exists and has its own agendas.
