I'm just thinking why not SN penalize a few days from the streak instead of vanishing the whole streak just for a day of absence!

Right, It must be. The unforgiving wild west is what makes it so much fun. If we know we don't lose the whole streak, we may not be overly-cautious!
I think if I keep donating 100 sats regularly in the pool, I won't lose my hat streak. Am I right?
Also, is there any bigger responsibility if you hold it for more days?
