I grew up min the redneck south of the U.S. where ignorance does not include the healthy fear to call the electrician. They have a confidence that says try it even if you are ignorant of the dangers.
In my past life, I worked as an electrician. Now I live and love off-grid and my shit is completely "unsafe". But I understand it... So I make my own rules. Rules for the general population for "safety" must be set based on the lowest common denominator.
