“We also got tax cuts, the largest tax cut and reform in the history of our country, by far.”
Repeated 296 times
This is Trump’s second favorite falsehood, and his remarks at his departure ceremony at Andrews Air Force base marks the 296th time he said it. Even before Trump’s tax cut was crafted, he promised it would be the biggest in U.S. history – bigger than Ronald Reagan’s 1981 tax cut. Reagan’s tax cut amounted to 2.9 percent of the gross domestic product and none of the proposals under consideration came close to that level. Yet Trump persisted in this fiction even when the tax cut was eventually crafted to be the equivalent of 0.9 percent of GDP, making it the eighth largest tax cut in 100 years.
This is one of them. Was he not lying here?
There's thousands of such claims that were proven to be incorrect. By measurable data. All you have to do is some research.
What if he wasnt measuring the tax cuts by % GDP? Seems like a wierd way to measure a tax cut, besides the GDP is kinda volatile so again strange way to measure a tax cut. Also kinda interesting that u were quick to point out Trump supporters are somehow brainwashed and then u link this wierd fact check

You seem to prove my point. Did you forget that you asked me when Trump lied? This is a factual example, but somehow you now try to shift it back to the brainwashing? I have the feeling you don't really have a counter argument but just jump from one thing to the other.
Tax cuts are measured by % of GDP. You can't invent new ways sorry..

What is the point of measuring tax cuts by % of GDP? Why not look at the marginal tax rate before and after and find the difference?

If you compare yoy, then you can't claim it's the biggest tax cut in history of course! Again, you're proving my point. Don't you get it?

It seems you believe Trump lied because of some obscure definition of the size of a tax cut which no-one uses (Brainwashed much?). Even if we accept the method of measuring a tax cut as a % of GDP, its still a big one, and you are basically being pedantic. YeS Its BiG But ItS NoT ThE BiGGeSt As He ClaiMS
But in terms of marginal tax rate its a big decrease, especially for businesses, it is in fact the biggest ever, which is what he emphasizes. But you wouldnt know because you just read a quote taken out of context by MSM and then i dont even. You are just brainwashed
