I use it as one of my funding sources for my LNbits instance. The great thing is that it’s extremely lightweight so you can spin up a LNbits instance and a phoenixd server on most of the cheap VPS providers. You can also use it as a backup funding source for when you have issues with liquidity or your main node is down. Actually would be a nice feature of LNbits to have a fallback mechanism that automatically switches to a different funding source when there is issues with the main one.
