Hey everyone!

We just launched the mainnet for our app called Workit. It's a fully-fledged Lightning Keychain with both custodial and self-custodial solutions (the latter will be activated soon), developed with LDK. Workit operates globally in every country.

You can earn Bitcoin simply by walking or completing other physical activities. Any amount earned is withdrawable without a threshold.

We also host Challenges, with the first one being announced on July 15th. You can participate and compete for the total pot, which includes pre-set prizes like $1K USD in Bitcoin, hardware wallets, Bitcoin vouchers, and more. The challenges are completely winnable—there is no chance involved—you are guaranteed to win as long as you complete the milestones.

As more people join, the prize pool increases.

the developer took data from crossfit and many various competitions around the world, and after some statistical adjustments constructed graphs that correlate well across the age & gender - adjusted performance across a whole variety of exercises from bar hang, grip, and plank to snatches.

i have been pushing the developer to work on integrating lightning like you did, but he lacks greater vision.

We have users who use the app solely for fitness and are subscribed to our premium plans. Premium plans are also beneficial for earning Bitcoin, as the rewards increase and they can participate in 3 challenges simultaneously.

We also take a cut from hosting challenges.

Yes, definitely. We have constraints set in challenges to ensure users can't game the system without effort. There are many ways to fully eradicate it, these methods often involve tracking user activity and collecting data, which we want to avoid completely.

The way things are built now, it works fine. We are working on a few small things that need addressing. So, I would say we will have to wait and see how people use it and then address the problems accordingly.

Doubt it, there already is an app that does almost the same thing called sMiles. Login with account, gather lots of data, show lots of ads, give out a fraction of it in sats. Simple formula.

They(sMiles) pay you in shitcoin, not sats.

They are very unclear in their website but if you actually use, you will end up earning some shitcoin and they claim they will pay you in sats with some conversion rate, but it is full of hoops to jump.

Absolutely avoid if you don't want to waste your time.

There are some regulatory uncertainties that cause trouble. For example, we might be forced to remove the custodial implementation.

However, Workit positions itself as a game/health app. The keychain is just an aspect of the app, making it much more discreet than other apps on the market.

There are many differences:

Workit is a Lightning Keychain (wallet) like Wallet of Satoshi, Breez, Muun, Phoenix, etc. You can pay directly with Workit anywhere Lightning is accepted.
Workit's earning potential is superior; you can double or triple your Bitcoin with our Challenges.
There is no withdrawal threshold; you can withdraw any amount.
There's a fitness part of our app where you can earn Bitcoin for completing workouts (this is only for premium users and hasn't been launched yet).

Likewise. I stopped using it though as it somehow made me click 10s of times on the same screen until it somehow recorded I had done my daily steps. Not sure if it was a bug or by design to make me stay longer inside the app. Probably the latter, but then I'm not the right target audience.

Hi, it's nice to try new btc related apps, and Workit seems cool! I installed the app and tried to signup via Google. However, when creating account it always popped up "Error Unknown error occured". Hope the bug will be fixed soon.

Hey! We are currently fixing a bug with Apple ID login, so it might be related. Still, just make sure to use at least 2 characters when choosing a username or filling in the name and surname fields.

Hey! The entry fee is 3,000 sats. You can deposit the amount from any other lightning wallet.

If you plan to participate, just make sure your balance is 3,001 sats and not exactly 3,000!

Try to get cashapp, strike or other bitcoin comapanies to advertise to increase the pools of rewards.

Alot of these apps people get on their phones, but end up uninstalling because they only pay out 10-100 sats over lifetime (not worth the squeeze to them).

I love this idea, and the fact that it is real bitcoin!

Please specify the receiving amount in the receiving wallet. If you are sending 5 sats, create the invoice for 5 sats in your receiving wallet.
