How could be possible Bitcoin adoption with these communists that are throwing water over peaceful tourists drinking a coffee one a terrace?
How idiot could be to do such thing, shooting yourself in your own foot?
And yet, Spain won't just let them secede for some reason. Cut the commies loose!

The main concern is the potential breakup of Spain, and the second is that Catalonia is the second-largest contributor to Spain's GDP, following only Madrid.

Neither of those are good reasons to deny people self-determination. Free the commies!

I know. I'm just joking around with the "commie" stuff. My understanding is that a pretty sizeable majority of Catalonians want independence.
reply
I cant say majority.. But a lot of people do.
The big cities tend to Spain while the rural catalonia tends for independence.
Since decades ago, Franco boosted industry both in Pais Vasco and Catalonia, there was a major influx of Spaniard workers that diluted a lot the independence feeling.
Im not native here, but i live here for almost 2 decades.. Its actually interesting to see their figth against Spain.. I respect that a lot.

I guess the first referenda were a while ago, at this point. Didn't independence get pretty substantial majorities in those votes?
reply
Spain would NEVER allow that. The ETA, a terrorist group from the Basque region, used to plant bombs and Spain still didn't grant them independence. Imagine if Texas wanted independence, what do you think the US would do?
reply
I'm not actually sure what the current regime would do. I think we're heading in that direction, though. It doesn't change the point that Texas should be allowed to secede.
Btw, the Texas constitution includes its right to secede and that was approved by the federal government when Texas gained statehood.

Looks like I made a bad call on the state. 🤠I didn't know that.

Actually, it's probably the best state to choose, because it most clearly gets at the willingness to use power in a completely illegal manner.
That's why I said "I'm not actually sure what the current regime would do."
