This chips act really bothers me. Taiwan has taken advantage of the USA because of this. They build a plant in arizona, highly subsidized. In order for this plant to make chips of the newer generation, they need to be sent back to taiwan. This right here bothers me. The plant itself is not independent in any way.

Public-private partnerships (aka fascism) work just as poorly as outright socialism, because of that lack of independent entrepreneurship.
