I'm temporarily banned from the tweeter app. I've had several (lost count) accounts permabanned. I have another one but too lazy to sign in. Probably because SN is just as good, if not better.

Some crypto girl on the tweeter said (in reference to the Tornado Cash arrest) that govs want to remove our right to privacy. I agreed, and added they want to remove the right to self defense too, so women are easy to doxx and rape. Banned for "threatening violence." I appealed 2 days ago. No word back. So anyway, I'll just shitpost here I guess.

welcome to SN, but maybe consider your word choice a bit more?

reply

My words are always carefully chosen. Comes with the territory as an analytical philosopher.

reply

Welcome to the community! I'm not an analytical philosopher, but I would have expected Twitter to have that reaction in that situation. They are a private company.

reply

To be fair, I do like to push the envelope of acceptable discourse. I'm not worried about it.

reply

But I was not threatening violence. I was concurring and noting the existential threats that occur when we lose our freedoms.

reply

I agree with you and understand, but still not surprised how things turned out.

reply

Speak of the devil, they just reversed their ban.

"Our support team has reviewed your account and it appears we made an error. We’ve determined there was no violation and have restored your account to full functionality.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate you taking the time to submit your appeal request to us."

reply

Sweet!

reply

I'm sure after review they will reverse their decision. It was an algorithm that banned me, I'm almost certain. I'll keep you updated.

reply

Permanently banned for replying to a Monty Python quote with the correct reply: "now write it out a hundred times or I'll cut your balls off".

Happy to have left that shit show.
