Announcements

Welcome to this week’s newsletter. Thanks for all the posts.
I have to mention that @DarthCoin's winning post this week is already the fourth highest ranked post in this territory ever. It can serve as the perfect model of the type of posts that will succeed here. It provided real value and proof of work. I personally benefitted from the informaton, as I am learning about new LN wallets. I'm not saying we're all going to be Darth, but it's something to strive towards.
For now I will keep the Top 5 Posts Of The Week contest. Here are the details:

Top 5 Posts Of The Week

There will be a zap award for the top 5 posts weekly. It will be broken down as follows:
  1. 1000 sats
  2. 250 sats
  3. 250 sats
  4. 250 sats
  5. 250 sats
Posts will be judged using SN zaprank. The cut off time is 9:00am EST (1300GMT) Friday morning. I will post the top 5 winners shortly after 9:00am every Friday morning.

This Week’s Winners:

Learning Resources

The White Paper

Everyone knows about the white paper, but have you read it? Here is the pdf.

DarthCoin’s Guides

DarthCoin is a somewhat controversial figure with a manner that may take some getting used to, but I think his guides are excellent as step by step instruction. The sentence structure might be unconventional, and he may express some strong opinions, but you will learn what he has set out to teach you. Here is a link to DarthCoin’s Substack Page, where you can find all of DarthCoin’s guides: https://darthcoin.substack.com/

Radentor’s Guides

@Radentor posts some of the most comprehensive information a beginner could want. Here is a link to his posts. I expect more from him soon!

Why Bitcoin Only

Why Bitcoin Only is a massive trove of links, where you can find just about anything you’re looking for. It’s also fun to browse around.

Top Posts Of All Time

Here you will find a few of the top posts that have been posted to this territory. I am not going to adhere to a rigid zaprank system, since my purpose is to highlight content that has educational value. I will use an informal combination of zaprank and my own evaluation. For instance, some posts, though of high quality, are solely about Stacker News, and might have more appropriately originated as a meta post.
Congratulations everyone!!
I didn't think that I would win. Thanks everyone for giving a newbie like me so much attention. There are so many great writers here and to be among them feels so special!
A big shout out to @DarthCoin. He is truly a force and inspiration for me. Great articles and guides!

I wish we can see more Q&A posts like on bitcoin.stackexchange.com where more knowledgeable stackers and even developers could answer those questions and offer more help to beginners.
Genuinely questions about HOW to use Bitcoin in specific situations, or troubleshooting use cases, stuff like that. Not bullshit articles about prices, trading, political news, shitcoins and any other crap that have nothing to do with USING and learning about bitcoin.
I do not want to win this contest, I prefer to answer questions instead of making posts.

I want that too. It's not easy to quickly create a culture. I wish there was a way to encourage this and speed up the process without dictating exactly what people can post. I want the community to shape the community- bottom up rather than top down.

Congratulations to everyone! @IamSINGLE has made it to the list last time as well!! Great going! Wish him all the best!

Thank you so much! If you didn't take me to SN, I would still be unknown to the reality about sound money.

Darth writing about lightning wallets, sign me up.
Pretty much everything I know about lightning wallets has come from Darth. I would probably still be using Muun if it wasn't for Darth.

stackers have outlawed this. turn on wild west mode in your /settings to see outlawed content.
