He was forced to use Bitcoin when all means to finance himself were denied, for example, PayPal, he used Bitcoin as an emergency network.
To be honest I didn’t know much about his history around Bitcoin or that he was into hacking and cryptography. Clever fella. 🤯

Basically, they didn't let him finance himself with any method so he couldn't continue doing his journalism work with Wikileaks, when he found himself against the wall he started using Bitcoin, which made Satoshi Nakamoto disappear.

which made Satoshi Nakamoto disappear
I'm not sure we know that this specifically made Satoshi disappear? As I recall, he did expressed his concerns about Wikileaks accepting Bitcoin and shortly thereafter "moved on to other things", but if he ever sited Wikileaks as the reason for leaving, then I'd like to read that. Do you have a source, maybe?
Another speculation at the time for him disappearing, was Gavin's visit to some government agency. That also sounded plausible...

This article talks about it:

There are the messages he said after Wikileaks accepted Bitcoin and his cessation of communication next, perhaps I expressed myself badly saying that this was what made him disappear, but he disappeared after this event, that's what I should have said so as not to confuse.
