I think JJ has a great basketball mind. I love to listen to his podcasts and his analysis. Too bad he announced that there will be no more podcasting while he is the Lakers' head coach.
Is he going to get fired after 2 seasons of bad results? Only time will tell. What do you guys think? Any thoughts on the hiring?
Full introduction interview below in case you want to listen (you probably don't want to, but just in rare case that you do).
What I know that he doesn't have any coaching experience previously. Well, Lakers now have inexperienced coach too!!!

I think the zero coaching experience and straight to head coach is what many people are skeptical about. Being a long time player and being a basketball geek doesn't necessarily translate to being a good head coach. Wish him good luck.
reply
I wish him the best. Hopefully he has a good relationship with Lebron.
reply
It seems he does. At least from what I saw from their podcast, they seem to like each other and respect each other.

I think the Lakers are going to be a mess, even if JJ is doing a good coaching job. There's going to be a lot of pressure to give Bronny minutes.
reply
Yes, the Lakers are a mess that will take time to fix. Adding Bronny to them makes it even more messy. I don't think LeBron will be happy to just keep him on the team to play meaningless minutes; it won't be a Thanasis situation. So you are absolutely correct that the pressure to play Bronny will be there. At the same time, I don't think Bronny is ready for meaningful minutes in the NBA yet.
