DESCRIPTION: A bronze Etruscan harpagous, or underwater sponge-harvesting hook, with seven curved tines arranged radially around a central torus. The hook piece is placed on a large handle with a scrolled design along its shaft. An additional pair of tines projects just below the torus at the top of the scrolled shaft. SIZE:H. 33 cm
