If this is the end of the road for USA's memorable T20 World Cup 2024 journey - they could still squeak into the semi-finals, but the odds are very much against them - then what a stage on which to bow out, facing up to the defending champions with one last chance to cause an upset.

You can use your maiden overs (miss the prediction) if you're not sure who to pick for three times. So, predict wisely, this is a Survival game. If you only remain predicting every match, you can't survive till the last. To be a winner, you need to survive till the finals.

All pool stats are only added upto the seventh match of Super 8 which is between India and Bangladesh.

How to participate?How to participate?

You just need to write the names of your winners for all the matches as mentioned above in the comment box down under and enjoy the most unpredictable sport!!

Can you explain the maiden thing better? I have never heard of this before. It's interesting.

reply

Suppose, you aren't too sure about your pick or you, by any chance, miss to predict the result of a game stands as maiden over here for the pool.

In cricket maiden over is when a batsmen play an over without scoring a single run by bat.

reply

It's obviously better than a wrong selection, right? Can you get eliminated from the pool by choosing not to pick?

reply

No, but you will only get 3 maiden overs. If you play the fourth one, it will be considered 'as a wrong descision'.

reply

Okay. That's what I needed to know.

reply

I've already said in my previous post to just clarify if there's any confusion. Now, I suspect that there won't be any survivor for the semifinals and finals!!

If you need any clarification or have any query regarding rules for the pool and super 8 phase, feel free to drop in the comment box.

If you missed a prediction it’ll be considered a maiden over.

You’ll lose 1 life/chance.

I thought I put in for England in the England vs SA match… (wrong none the less)

You actually didn't pick your winner in that match so it was counted as a 'maiden over' or a missing prediction.
