Surprisingly, the IRS says you should conceal the sources of your income:

Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) data [includes]...Budget...Net worth...amount or source of any income, profits, losses, or expenditures of any person... source

They recommend hiding that data:

  • "Encrypt all sensitive files...[with] strong password protections."
  • "Wipe clean or destroy old...hard drives and printers [holding] sensitive data."
  • "Limit access to [sensitive] data to [those] who need to know."
  • source

Using tools like coinjoin and stealth addresses shouldn’t raise suspicions. We’re really just following IRS recommendations.

LOL, are you just perusing the IRS code on a beautiful Friday afternoon??
