Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the fourth game of the Super 8s. It's Australia vs Bangladesh. The Aussies are unbeaten in this competition. They had to work hard in their opening match against Oman, however, they brushed aside England and Namibia in the following games. And they notched up a last-over win against a spirited Scotland side. The 2021 World Champions have a solid, all-round line-up and there's hardly any chinks in their armour. If Maxwell starts to fire, they'll be a very tough side to stop. Mitch Marsh and Co. come into this match as firm favourites but they won't be taking their opponents lightly.

Toss Update -

Australia have won the toss and have opted to field

Pitch Report -

No pitch report for today's game as it's a new wicket. The players looked surprised while watching the pitch. It may be another paradise for batsmen, I suspect.

Bangladesh 157/8

It's bullish considering it's a tough ask for Bangladesh. Now they have wasted 2 overs with only 5 runs. In case you wanna edit the prediction, you can until the 10th over.

Ok give me 127/8

Rishad Hossain to Mitchell Marsh, out Lbw!! Mitchell Marsh has been given OUT LBW, looked adjacent, but the Australian captain will review. Another pre-empted sweep and he's pinghed bang in front of middle and leg. No bat and UltraEdge confirms it. Onto ball-tracking: It's umpire's call on hitting and it stays OUT. Mitchell Marsh lbw b Rishad Hossain 1(6)

Rishad Hossain to Head, out Bowled!! Beautifully bowled and Rishad has struck. Nicely tossed up on off, was slower through the air and spun back into the left-hander, Head backed away on the cut and is undone by the lack of pace, was through with the shot and let the ball crash into the off-stump. Bangladesh have struck almost immediately after the rain break. Head b Rishad Hossain 31(21) [4s-3 6s-2]

Mahedi Hasan to Warner, SIX, Australia are just cruising! Dragged down short on off-stump, Warner was quick to press back and he heaved it away over the deep mid-wicket ropes, too easy.

Aus 59/0 in 6 overs. They are making a mockery this score..

Stoinis to Shakib, out Caught&Bowled!! Straight up in the air and taken easily! Full and straight on middle, was an off cutter that just seemed to stick into the surface as Shakib looked to loft it back down the ground, he was through his shot far too early and it went straight up, Stoinis just continued in his follow through and took it easily just beside the pitch. Bangladesh losing steam as they approach the end of the innings. Shakib c and b Stoinis 8(10)

Bangladesh are 103/5

Zampa to Shanto, out Lbw!! LBW appeal and up goes the finger! Shanto decides against the review and walks off. Stump-to-stump line, the Bangladesh captain gets down to sweep and misses this length ball to get hit on the front pad (knee-roll). Decent amount of bounce and it's struck him close to his arm. However, he doesn't challenge the decision. And, ball-tracking shows it to be hitting the sticks. Good call not to review. Shanto lbw b Zampa 41(36) [4s-5 6s-1]

Bangladesh are 98/4 in 15 overs. Can they reach 150? Would be a good total on this deck.

Drinks are on the field now! Australia will be the happier side. Bangladesh lost Tanzid Hasan in the very first over to Starc. Litton Das took 10 balls to get off the mark and never looked threatening. The Rishad Hossain experiment has failed. Captain Shanto is looking in good touch but he needs some help from his team-mates...

Maxwell to Rishad Hossain, out Caught by Zampa!! Maxwell is pumped up! 96.8kph, the batter comes down the track for a wild slog across the line. Rishad Hossain c Zampa b Maxwell 2(4)

Bangladesh are 67/3 after 10 overs.

Zampa to Litton Das, out Bowled!! Bowled him! Zampa breaks the fifty stand and Litton Das's scratchy knock comes to an end. 92.9kph, scrambled seam leggie, Litton gets down low to sweep hard. No turn, he misses and the ball thuds into his back thigh before ricocheting onto the stumps. Litton Das b Zampa 16(25) [4s-2]
BAN 62-2 (9.3)

Summary (Overs 1-6)

Mitchell Starc to Litton Das, FOUR, is that the pressure releaser? Shortish ball, Litton Das goes after it with a pull shot. Off the lower part of the bat but he's managed to drag it over midwicket. Much-needed boundary for Litton
reply
1.6 Hazlewood to Litton Das, no run, "maiden over! 133.5kph, short of length ball on off and Litton Das knocks it back to the bowler

Mitchell Starc to Tanzid Hasan, out Bowled!! Mitchell Starc strikes in the first over! Fullish length ball, outswinger, keeps a bit low, Tanzid Hasan stays back to block. The ball trims the cue-end and deflects onto the middle-stump. Perfect start for Australia! Tanzid can't believe it. He should have played that off the front foot. Tanzid Hasan b Mitchell Starc 0(3)
