Saw this in a magazine:
Which festival from which country would you recommend Stackers observe in real life?
I lucked out when I visited Nagasaki from October 7-9. Turned out that the locals were celebrating the Kunchi Festival. Imagine lots of burly, muscular men carrying floats on which children are stationed. As the men carry the floats on their shoulders, the children will serenade the crowd with their music. Sometimes, the float bearers will stop mid-way and throw the float into the air. The children never missed a beat playing their instruments. I really felt the vitality and kizuna (connections) of the Nagasaki locals up close and personal.
Pictures were taken more than a decade ago, but you can sense the energy reverberating from the photos.
