That'd be my guess. I'm sure the Musking of Twitter hasn't helped (especially for any tasks that might've required an API to verify), but it may just be an idea with a limited lifespan.

I forgot that twitter's api was paid now. That's sad.
I always saw it as a general purpose bounty system, but maybe twitter was the main use case.

By the time I started using it, it was about 70% Twitter/20% Telegram, with occasional other things, but I don't know how it went historically.
