Or you can get "older" MacBookPro and load it with Debian/Ubuntu. It does recognize almost all hardware and you can extend the life of that box for another 4-5 years.

I use few of them as nodes in my kubernetes cluster, with battery backup included, it's working like a charm :-) Just an idea.
