Helpful for beginners, I agree, but the idea of bitcoin was decentralization and anonymity, so buying on exchanges with kyc disturbs this beautiful idea.
Not necessarily, it is a "legal" on-ramp only and what one does with the coins is another matter. Education is the key here.
